I had no idea. oO

This was a NSFW, darkly-hilarious webcomic that started ages ago (1999) and ended a few years later... or so I'd thought for years. But no, it seems artist "Clay" has recently relaunched the sucker!

https://www.sexylosers.com/

It's pretty much in the "OGLAF" class of webcomics, but maybe a little more wicked and subtle.

Of course this is a satirical web comic, but if we take this seriosly, there's only two ways this situation could happen:

  • Communication so extremely broken in this relationship that it's easier for him to get the information he needs by calling a public radio broadcast.
  • She too has no clue at all about sex and thus can't even tell him what she likes. (This is actually more common in women than one might think.)

In any way, piling on him for going to extreme lengths trying to learn how to satisfy her is not the problem in that relationship.

Instead, this comic plays into some real-life double standards that I really don't like:

  • Sexual prowess is something that men are required to have and it's shameful if they don't have that skill. Sexual prowess is something that women don't need to have and it can be seen as suspect if they do have that skill.
  • Sex is something that men do to women while the only part that women need to play during sex is be in the room and play starfish.
  • Men need to know what this specific woman likes without her communicating that at all.
  • What he likes doesn't play into the situation at all. If he wants some pleasure out of sex, he needs to do it himself.

Try gender swapping the comic and there is no joke any more.

ytf did u reply to me instead of ð main🧵?
sod off, I’m pansexual.

[–] squaresinger@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What's wrong with you? I did reply to you to expound on your point because it fit well there.

Do you always attack people who have a similar opinion than yourself?

What part of pansexualism do you not comprehend?
I disagree with you completely, and never did I make my statements 🧵 heteronormitive.
Now get me clamps, let's make your areolas extra sensitive.

What part of the existence of other people than you don't you comprehend? Also, what does pansexuality have to do with anything? You can also be a pansexual starfish.

Pansexuality also doesn't excuse poor behavior and anger management issues.

Oh, I get it now, you don't know women can love women, femboys, bara, bears, lions, dragons, slimes, tentacles, etc..

Hey cisfuck, why can't I have a nonbinary tentacle monster as a partner? Yeah, I know I can date a sentient starfish. Do you?

You know, it's totally fine to have LGBTQ+ only spaces and demand that these spaces stay exclusively LGBTQ+.

It's really weird though to butt into a thread that's specifically about heterosexual relationships and then demand that everything there is LGBTQ+.

It's about as tone-deaf and inappropriate as if someone would join a queer community and then call everyone slurs for talking about LGBTQ+ relationships.

Your choice of relationship is of course of, but offtopic here.

Please stay respectful. You want respect for your pansexuality, please be respectful of other people's lifestyle choices. Don't be a bigot.

It’s really weird though to butt into a thread that’s specifically about heterosexual relationships and then demand that everything there is LGBTQ+.

THAT'S LITERALLY WHY I TOLD YOU TO ASK IN THE MAIN THREAD, AND NOT ME. HOW DENSE ARE WHEN I TOLD YOU MORE THAN ONCE TO SOD OFF, I DISAGREE, FUCK OFF. The comic shows nothing that the girlfriend has a penis, or that the caller is male.

Don’t be a bigot.

LOOK WHO’S BEEN AN ACTUAL BIGOT TO FEMDOM. SOD OFF AND ASK JohnnyEnzyme, NOT ME.

[–] squaresinger@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Being pansexual (same as literally any other factor) doesn't preclude you from being a bigot.

If you can't stay civil, please log off. That kind of behaviour is not ok.

[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social -3 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

DENSE FUCKER, I JUST LISTED YOU POTENTIAL PARTNERS I MAYBE OR NOT BE INTO AS PROOF I AM NOT A BIGOT.

YOU ARE A BIGOT BY CONTINUING TO REPLY TO MY REQUEST TO DISENGAGE ME IN YOUR CIS SOPHISTRY.

FUCK OFF.

[–] squaresinger@lemmy.world 0 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Being a bigot has absolutely nothing to do with your sexual orientation, your sexual preferences or your fetishes.

Yes, you can be a bigot and using bigot language like "cisfuck" proves that you are one. The worst kind of bigots are those who think they cannot be bigots because they like to have sex with people they are bigoted against.

It's literally the same as a right-wing extremist claming he cannot be racist because he sourced his wife from the Philipines.

yo, @lawrence@lemmy.world, can you be so kind and add a disengagement rule to our adorable community?

This is the third time an user from your instance doesn't conceptualize when they‘ve been told not to engage on a line of conversation folks will no longer contribute to.

Maybe even a tiny sentence so folks learn a thing or two.

It's kinda strong of you to use hateful language and cusswords all the way through the discussion and then call on the mods.

Are you sure you want to do that?

[–] AntiBullyRanger@ani.social 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Telling you to sod off isn't hateful language.
You can politely cuss people out, like I exemplified initially.
I only pity the fact you're were not taught all these differences.

This is why I am asking our moderator to intervene and review.

[–] squaresinger@lemmy.world 0 points 15 hours ago

Btw, did you read your link about disengagement?

For a disengage call to be valid, it must not be accompanied by other arguments on the existing topic.

You violated that.

Also, no, nothing you did was polite, and "politely cussing people out" doesn't exist. Cussing people out is by definition not polite.

Kind of strange that basic rules of communication like that need to be explained.

Sod off. Fuck off. Cisfuck

Yes, that is hateful.
