Who gives a fuck about a bill of rights.
What matters is the rights you can force the government to give you back, not rely on a piece of paper they can ignore.
So in other words, nothing matters? ๐
What matters is actually having your rights when you need them - that is when your government is oppressing you on them.
You can write all the well intended words on a page all you want, it won't stop you being dragged off as an undesirable if they change their mind.
I'm stumped at what you want people to take away from this.
Yes, when the social contract is broken, shit is broken.
When we are working together and working properly, then having a set of defined laws and ideals behind them matters quite a lot.
What I want people to take away from this is that rights arent things on paper, theyre things you fight for.
Laws are meaningless, the rich flaunt and break them all the time. They only exist so the state can control the population. Average people have no real say in their creation, so its not like people came together and decided on what rules they think society should follow.
Everyone needs a gun and the willingness to use it. Thats how you protect your rights.
