And of course nike, Addis, sports franchises, universities... these are all for profit businesses who have tricked people intompaying to advertise for them.
I mean you could say that about band shirts too, but I wouldn't say they "tricked" you if it's something you consciously want to support. I feel sports teams and unis could fall under that too
Well the trick was establishing that you should pay them for it. If they were handing them out for free to thier supports in exchange for the advertising, than it wouldn't be a trick.
I have plenty of my university's clothes too. I have trouble with plain shirts, just don't like them. I need to find something better. But my university recently started offering online stuff. Suddenly most people know them for that, not for being a real in person engineering school. So they cheapened my degree to get more cash for themselves.
