Winter season is rapidly approaching! It's time to start looking ahead to the next season and thinking about what is worth watching vs. what isn't. This is also the official thread where I will watch for shows that you mention and will enable threads for those shows to be made by our resident bot, @rikka@ani.social.

Alright, here is what I am looking forward to this upcoming season:

Shows I am familiar with the source

Frieren Season 2 - my most anticipated for sure
Oshi no Ko Season 3 - an excellent adaptation. People give the manga shit for the ending, but I have read way worse and I think it is a bit overblown. It doesn't change the fact that this show has consistently elevated the source and produced some gorgeous animation sequences.
Chained Soldier Season 2 - I am hoping that the animation improves over the first season. It definitely felt lackluster compared to the excellent manga artwork.
'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess Season 2 - This is just a heaping dish of good vibes. Looking forward to more.
You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! - I eventually dropped this manga, but the beginning portions were good.
The Demon King's Daughter is Too Kind! - Like Torture Princess, this is a bundle of good feelings.

Shows I am not familiar with the source

You and I Are Polar Opposites - I see this one posted in !manga@ani.social with some regularity, so I might try to give it a shot if I can find the time
Tune In to the Midnight Heart - I have heard great things about this manga, but haven't read it. I will be interested to see how it is received.
Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers - I fondly remember watching Ronin Warriors as a youngling, so this series is of interest to me. However, it is a pretty low priority given everything else this season.

Frankly, I might only be able to watch half of these, so my patience to wait out a mediocre adaptation will wear thin quickly. I am still trying to catch up on some shows this season.
