I can eat French fries when I'm old but might not be able to do pushups when I'm old, and French fries pay more. I don't HAVE to eat French fries, and I could cook them as healthy as they can be made, and eat them when I want some quick cash. I could be paid $200 as part of my lunch in about ten minutes or half that for working out. If the pushups paid more then maybe I'd do that, but the payoff isn't as worth it from a financial/effort point of view.
