It's eFootball now: free to play, optimized for mobile, heavily monetized, no career mode, and gameplay is a shell of PES.

Primarily designed around Konami's equivalent to EA's Ultimate Team.

Last PES was 2021, and modders are still updating it. Modded 2021 is called SP Football Life.

Appreciate the info. I still play 2018. Might try and grab a version of 2021. Such bullshit.

For modding, is it PC only or how would one get mods on say an Xbox One?

SP Football Life is PC only, unfortunately. I'm not aware of any modding scene for Xbox, but I know there's a modding scene for PS4 because I helped a friend mod his game when it came out back in 2021.
