Yeah I never understood that one either. It’s shocking to me that enough people are willing to not just pay for porn, but pay directly for porn from one individual source that its become a viable and massive industry. Part of me thinks the numbers that these only fans stars claim MUST be inflated and they have money from family or something. But I’m basing that on vibes and nothing else so who knows.

I'd guess it's more that on onlyfans you can convince yourself that you're getting personal attention from the artist. It's a combination of creepiness with maybe a bit of loneliness.

On April 1, 2021, six days after her eighteenth birthday, Bregoli opened an OnlyFans account, earning over $1 million in revenue in the first six hours, including over $757,000 from subscriptions, $267,000 from message payments, and $5,000 in tips. She later demonstrated evidence of earnings of more than $50 million, which was initially met with skepticism. By September 2024, Bhad Bhabie earned $1,489,374 per month on OnlyFans and remained the highest paid creator on the platform, however by September 2025 she had fallen to 4th highest paid creator, earning upwards of $1.3 million a month.

Yes, it's a parasocial relationship. Basically, the consumers of this content are sort of getting a subscription girlfriend experience, which I guess is very appealing to men that lack the ability to attract women in the real world. It's kind of like men who go to strip clubs.

Yeah when you put it that way it makes sense. I’ve never been a strip club guy myself so I guess I just don’t get it.

That’s fucked up for so many reasons.
