Made it to Oblivara Station after completing the first two sectors. This despite the game not letting me fast travel. It "unlocked" the location of the next sector too so might see how many they've actually created physical stations for despite their claim of lack of content.

The journey took around three hours

As in, three hours from crash landing to this station? Or, after unlocking the sector you flew for three hours? How does the whole unlocking thing work, anyway? Could I not just fly there as soon as I get to space?

So i finished the missions on Kemik station at which point it said i could travel to a new sector. when i tried to fast travel it said something along the lines of "You cannot fast travel here as we dont have content for it yet". so i thought fuck it and flew the 3.2k km there manually. at around 1080km/h the flight between Kemik and Olibvara took around three hours.

I basically pointed it in the right direction, got it up to speed and turned the dampners off. there were a couple close calls with asteroids (i was off doing housework) but it got there.

I'm pretty sure you could just fly there as soon as you get to space. it just seems to be fast travel that is off limits until you complete the missions
