Same.

The key is in the reaction: ignore, acknowledge or double down.

If they double down, it's unlikely the tism or a misread.

They didn't double down so it's all good.

Or I double down because I don't want to be looked down and must win because otherwise I will think about this for weeks and nothing else and my wife will keep asking me what's wrong and all I can say is "I'm fine" but im not fine I'm actually seething and crying in the shower because I was wrong on the internet and I can do nothing but hyperfocus on the fact that someone thinks im stupid seriously its running my life I'll never recover....

Or yeah ignore, acknowledge works too.
