As a white European, he's my most important source on black culture and "the black experience"โ„ข๏ธ in the so-called US.

You could do way worse. I am adjacent to that sphere and he has very good takes. Impossible to be totally right from all perspectives at all times but guy is very intellectually honest and has put in work to gain his perspective and clearly considers his life critically. He's legit.
