y'know any other country in europe had removed the president on the spot, if we even had presidential positions to begin with.

maybe vote to return back into european state rule as a fucking colony. i genuinely wonder if that is valid in american political climate

If the EU wants us I'll sign that petition, at the very least it should effectively do away with the 2 senators per state regardless of population nonsense.

this brightens my day to read!

what states can make which claims for getting to return? idk which were more english or french or spanish or swedish etc.

I dont think any suggestion that splits the USA to multiple countries will ever make it to mainstream, gonna have to be consumed as a whole to one EU state.

[–] bluemoon@piefed.social 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

gotta start with one state, like Maine?

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

As in Germany, for example, alone takes in 50 states, Puerte Rico, Guam, military bases, partial claim to the panama canal, etc.

please rephrase i don't understand what i'm reading

a state at a time or all states at once?

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

All US States

One Single EU State

idk that's wack to me, living in europe

do you suggest the liberation would be in the form of another untouchable POTUS to rule that "EU" continent?

because EU, in case you didn't know, is a continent of many diverse states and the acronym EU is understood as 'europe' not 'european union'. which is what i imagine a healthy american continent is. AM not US.

I don't think anybody with an opinion of any value uses EU to mean Europe. EUR maybe.

It would be a good thing in the assumption that the ruling country's electoral system takes over the worse US electoral system. Splitting the USA up would potentially empower Russia and China with Alaska's return.

Europe is even more pathetic. We laugh about the US but do as they tell.

hey we can change without ICE shooting us.

the only pathetic person is who isn't already active in a local unit of a national political group in their country.

i also suggest looking into https://www.sortitionfoundation.org/ to anyone reading this - ever wondered "what if anybody else was in that politician's shoes"?
