Germany is revoking the citizenship of a recently naturalised man of Syrian background in Berlin after he allegedly praised Hamas on Instagram one day after receiving his German passport.

According to reports, he grew up in Berlin from early childhood, obtained German citizenship under the 2024 naturalisation rules and then posted a picture of two Hamas fighters with a Palestine flag and the caption “Heroes of Palestine” with a green heart. Security services flagged the post, and the Berlin immigration authority treated it as evidence that he had violated the declaration he had just signed; a withdrawal notice was issued and sent to his lawyer. If the decision becomes final, he will lose his German citizenship and the authorities would then have to decide in a separate procedure whether he can remain in Germany at all.

Under §35 of the German Nationality Act (StAG), citizenship can be revoked for up to ten years if it was obtained through deception. Under §10(1), applicants must declare that they support the protection of Jewish life, a commitment that administrative practice understands as including Israel’s existence.

You are right i should have added some sources, but honestly i assumed that this was common knowledge for people on here at this point.

July 2025: https://www.israelhayom.com/2025/07/31/52-of-israelis-want-gaza-settlements-back/

more than half (52%) of Israelis support renewed Jewish settlement in Gaza

June 2025: https://archive.is/4ioWh This one was according to themselves not a good poll, but they quote another one done by Tel Aviv University which is still >50%

A recent poll among Israeli Jews, as reported in Haaretz, produced truly shocking results: 82 percent of respondents reportedly supported the forcible expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza, while 56 percent supported expelling Palestinian citizens of Israel.

At around the same time this poll was conducted, Tel Aviv University fielded a comprehensive, large-scale survey as part of its ongoing Israel National Election Studies research project. In that study, participants were asked whether they would support a solution for Gaza that includes transferring its population to another country or countries. Among Jewish respondents, agreement stood at 53 percent, and among the entire Israeli population – including Arab citizens – it was 45 percent.

So yes, the Israeli population is completely full of genocide supporters, especially the jewish population.

The fact that there are still so many uniformed people like you is just a testament to how deeply embedded the Israel lobby is in our media landscape. The top levels of the Israel government have been very open about how they would love to torture and kill every last palestinian on earth, but our local media apparently cant read hebrew.

IsraelHayom is as bad as FOX News in terms of bias and hackery while your second source very specifically talks about expulsion, not genocide. I'm not gonna suggest that forcing everyone out of Gaza is even remotely okay but it is a far, far cry from "most Israelis support exterminating everyone in Gaza".

It is frankly concerning that you have been convinced by a fear-mongering news source and a marginally related opinion piece that "most Israelis want to exterminate all Gazans". Please do better.

Expulsion is definitely genocide.

"the destruction of a nation or of an ethnic group" by means such as "the disintegration of [its] political and social institutions, of [its] culture, language, national feelings, religion, and [its] economic existence".

Gaza is none of the things you listed there.

Moving people from Gaza to another location achieves none of the things you named.

For the record, I am NOT in favor of relocating anyone but the fuckfaced Israeli settlers in the West Bank

Still doesn't somehow mean the majority of Israelis favor genocide.

The hyperbole needs to stop.
