I've had good luck answering and immediately putting it on mute until they disconnect. Once the bot reports a dead line enough, you tend to get removed, they can't waste time with their scam. Don't answer and talk, then you get put on more lists as an active number.
Answer as soon as you can, and mute your end until they disconnect.
You can also set your phone to only ring if the contact is in your contacts, otherwise straight to ~~jail~~ voicemail.
