Resurrecting an old post but -
I just noticed that I won't be getting 1.25x points in the chase travel portal anymore. This was the only reason I had this card at all, and none of the other benefits come close to paying the annual fee for me.
The "points boost" they're replacing it with only seems to be offered on worse flights with longer duration and business/first class tickets that still end up being more expensive than what I would book otherwise. This is especially true when compared to booking direct from the airline, because the Chase Travel Center is basically always more expensive to some degree anyways.
I'll be canceling my CSP before it renews in a few months, but idk if it's worth moving to a new card ecosystem or just keeping my CFU and CFF and accepting them as basic cashback cards rather than primarily redeeming for travel credit like I have been.
People seem to like transferring Chase UR points to Hyatt, so maybe I'll start doing that, but I liked not being locked in to a single chain.
