Yeah, it's like... y'know, even at its most cynical, this is very much a welcome entry of positive trans visibility in mass media. "It was just an excuse to go on vacation", well, alright? Good for Will Ferrell, I guess? If it ends up being a good film, what does that matter?
It's okay to celebrate the small victories. Sometimes it's what helps you carry on to the big ones.

A long drive through mostly conservative areas while being transgender. It can be kind of nerve-wracking tbh, even if you pass. There's always the fear that you'll make someone uncomfortable, even if nothing dangerous happens.
