What if:

Keep kitty black, background red... but...

Make the circle for the kitty have the trans color pattern, as a ribbon, circular.

Or, maybe do that with the kitty itself, give it an edge/border type thing that's the trans colors?

Subsequent to that: that last idea won't work well because the cat is simply too detailed, complex.

So... maybe make a simplified, vector version of angry kitty?

Maybe stylize it a bit?

Also, we have all the various 'A in circle' designs from... all of history, and probably your nearest grafitti'd wall, that could be used as another element, in whatever color/pattern, to balance the kitty.

You've also got simply a 5 pointed star, usually red, ala the Zapatistas.

Or, go visit Mahkno and his merry band of absolutely pristine gentlemen, and you'll maybe notice a skull and cross bones, and the slogan 'Death to all who stand in the way of freedom for the working people!'

You also possibly have the color patterning from Makhno, the CNT FAI, Zapatistas,.etc.
