A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to Steam Hardware or Steam OS in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

Spreading converstion to many different communities only makes sense if one community is oversaturated with content.
No, it makes sense if the content of the community doesn't fit the name of the community. There should be places where people can go to learn more about a specific product without having to sift through a waterfall of irrelevant information.
You've convinced me! Instead of a general gaming community where people post about games on more then one platform we should have separate communities for the Sega Saturn, Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Nintendo, SuperNintendo, GameBoy, GameboyColor, NintendoDS...
Or maybe the name not being perfect is ok since it was started before other stem devices existed? Pretty sure the display name can be changed even if the community address doesn't.
