There's a scene in Animorphs where 'Ax', roughly a centaur body-form alien, crash landed on Earth...

Either one or two of the main characters find him, hide him in some cabin or something, and Ax begins to freak out, beg his human friends to stop harming themselves...

When they change into clothes that aren't waterlogged and covered in mud.

Because he has no concept of 'clothing', and thinks they are ripping their own bodies apart.

EDIT:

Derp, I am a dumbass and blended together two different scenes and characters.

It's not Ax who roughly has the above described seen play out.

It is Elfangor, a different Andalite, Aximili's older brother, and IIRC, that actual story about the clothes takes place outside of the mainline books, happens in one of the... couple of sort of extra canon books, that follow different characters, not directly in sync with the mainline serial books.

Thanks for stealing an hour of my life as I recalled Andalite lore.

I am only sorry that my thought-speak was so crass as to require visible symbols to induce the desired effect.

I should really re-read the animorph books....

I got bored of Harry Potter.

I read all of Animorphs, and its expanded canon, outside of the main plotline of the serial series.

Plus, just... those covers man. Those covers.

Fucking ridiculous, but also classic, nothing else like em.

I've only read the main series as they were coming out. Book fairs at school kicked ass for most of the time I was a kid.

... there's also a hilariously poorly recieved TV show that had a whole season shot, but was pulled from airing not too long after it started.

It was... very fucking goofy, lol.

You might get a kick out of finding and watching it, I think it had a few actors/actresses in it that did later go on to have some decently successful careers, as adults.

I think technically it may have counted as what we now call lost media for a while, but there are DVD releases of it, it does exist, its just... fairly rare, pretty damn niche.

I should really read them a first time
