Did not like this.

  1. "Just give me a grenade" should have been understood as sarcastic. But even a peaceful people would recommend alternative means of "peaceful mining excavation projects".

  2. absurd that they would comply with giving her an atomic bomb.

A peaceful people would still have genuine security concerns, especially from an entity with proven hostility towards them.

Direction of show seems to make the strawman "peace is stupid" because the people who have peaceful attitudes must be stupid.

The show was created to show us how fucking stupid AI is, and how in the end it will destroy us to make us happy. Like fucking asking for nuke and they go okay.

Fuck sake the guy had the nuclear football in episode two. He clearly asked for it and they gave it to him. They also released everyone in prison. That includes murders, rapist, serial killers, etc. They clearly fucked in the head.

What I still want to know. Why would the fuck did the scientist go "Hey aliens sent us a virus to create. Lets do that." Like what the fuck. Why create the virus in first place? Clear the aliens don't have humanity best interests in mind.

They also released everyone in prison.

If rehabilitated, and simply are no longer hateful/entitled/greedy, no reason not to.

“Hey aliens sent us a virus to create. Lets do that.”

I guess its somehow clear to everyone that a virus is 100% involved. Would seem like a plot hole that a virus has instant global communication capability.

Clear the aliens don’t have humanity best interests in mind.

Not to me. Helping us be the best us can be good for us.

It's simplistic to compare to our current LLMs. To me it's clearly "what if we were naturally not aggresive", including non aggressive in our evangelism.

There actual article from the creator where he said the is about AI. So that theory pretty clear. He also hates AI. So he wouldn't make them good.

Also no not all prisoners would have been rebiltabated. Also sociopath would still exist. Also all the other assholes of the world.

It seems that this hivemind is behaving like a newborn intelligence complete with naivete and innocence, even if it's made up of the sum of human experience and knowledge.

It's still too early to judge how much of its behaviour is authentic as it's trying to figure out how to live and grow, or if it's actually malevolent and self-interested

definitely the story arc I hope for is that "it is learning towards common sense", and would reconsider the atomic bomb gift. Self/collective interested doesn't have to mean malevolent.
