I was the sysadmin at a software dev, also responsible for purchasing and redistributing laptops. Fuck all your stickers! I expensed $3,213 worth of Goo Gone and paper towels!
"New hire coming, get them a laptop."
<looking at my pile of perfectly good, sticker covered laptops>
"I'll order a new one."
I solved this differently. I have a framework and told my boss: "if i leave the company before the laptop is mine, ill pay the 100€ it costs to get a new top cover to replace the stickered one" :p.
Its a 5min job so ye hehe
