seems like alot of tech and biotech have commutes equally around 1.5hrs on average 1 way with public transportation. alot of them seemed to based outside of major cities.

I live outside of a large city and would be commuting into it. Wanting to live kinda rural and work in tech was not a good idea, but I'm in too deep now. -_-

oh yea in west coast thats where the tech/biotech buildings are. just not easy commute, even with a car is somewhat painful unless you can find something in the city you are living in.

I'm in the easterm part of the country on top of everything else. In a very poor area. I'm looking at a commute if I can't find a remote position. I currently work fully remote because I am very immunocompromised. I'm terrified of even hybrid positions getting me ill. I caught a cold that's slowly turning into pneumonia and I just can't fight it off. I have the feeling I'm going to end up hospitalized from it.
