actually their level of desperation is terrifying, Steve Bannon is looking at effectively the rest of his life in prison… he’s an old unhealthy man….
so that means he’ll do anything at this point.

As much as I'd like to see him stick around to get sentenced, living out his final days in Russia sounds like just as fitting of an end for that sack of shit

Actually it's dumber and worse, because he went on to expand that he believes any leftist leader will just kangaroo-court people they don't like.
You know, the whole "weaponization of justice" thing that Trump has done over two terms now.
Maybe, they're testing if their base will defend them if they go full fascists. They've been subtly saying things that led to rise of the fascists for a while now. And their base remains intact.
They're waiting for the cult to approve something even more harsh so that somehow 2nd mendment will be relevant again. But it won't be used against the authoritarians.
Maybe, idk. It's a shitshow.
