We didn't assassinate him, his own people did because he was such a cunt. His wife skipped no beats jumping into his shoes and grifting millions at his star studded, firework spectacular.

Charlie himself said;

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage."

So we're just going by his wishes and practising what he preached.
