It is incredible how categorically caustic PE firms have gotten. They weren’t great before, but nowadays the overt and insane hypercapitalist profit über alles tactics are just gleefully brutal.

It's a race to the bottom. Once one group starts burning value to drive up speculation a bit longer, everyone has to do it to keep up

And unsustainable. The biggest buyers and sellers of private equity are both private equity firms. The major driver of profits and growth for all firms are acquisitions and there isn't much left to acquire. This bubble too shall pop with AI.
