History, if you’ve read it. When the military turned on the wealthy. The Russian Revolution, and the French Revolution. The turning point was hunger… people were hungry. Even worse, their children were hungry. Adults are not going to watch their children go hungry.

In the article it states that these two members are expressly democratic political candidates.

Which is a good thing, as it means there are (relative) progressives leading some level of charge here and hopefully it encourages other NG members to refuse these deployments as well.
