When you're a billionaire, you're no longer accountable for anything.

You can insist on launchung the Metaverse, or building the cybertruck, and you will be paid handsomely for it, instead of being punted.

You also have to control a bit portion of the shares of the company or voting rights, which he does, so share holders can't boot you out.
