That's not correct. He didn't advocate for "violence". He was a diehard proponent of gun rights (I'm not) but that's not calling for violence. And I dont really care whether people agree or disagree with his views, SURELY we can agree that NO ONE should be shot for their views, especially when they've gone out of their way to advocate for open discourse and debate RATHER than violence.
If you advocate for open debate but don't actually debate in good faith, are you trying to open dialog or are you trying to muddy the water? That man did not debate in good faith and used a lot of strawmen. Period. He didn't want discourse, he wanted hate. He wanted you to hate your neighbour because he looked and talked differently than you.
Let's say for the sake of argument, you are 100% correct. Did he deserve to be ASSASSINATED for that? Is that the answer to people we don't agree with in a democratic country? Just KILL them?
I don't think many are saying he deserved it. I see lots of people saying they aren't going to shed a tear now that his neck meat is on the floor. I think many also see the hilarious irony of a 2nd amendment idiot getting gunned down.
