Wisemans Ferry is a town on the northern outskirts of Sydney and the south-west of the Central Coast region in the state of New South Wales, Australia, located 75 kilometres north north-west of Sydney. It is located in the Sydney local government areas of the Hornsby Shire, The Hills Shire, City of Hawkesbury and the Central Coast Council. The town is a tourist spot with picnic and barbecue facilities. As well as a rich convict and colonial heritage in the area, the Dharug National Park and Yengo National Park are close by.

You can also get a free punt across Wiseman's Ferry!

Pacific Hwy/Peats Ridge/Wiseman's Ferry Rd is a great drive. They kind of loop/criss-cross each other, so you can design your own path. And if you want a short cut, you just hit the M1.

I love wondering about what it would be like to live around there, and, as I drive by, who lives in that place, and what are they doing now/today/this week, and how similar and how different are our lives? And wouldn't it feel good to just start running in any direction, and when you stopped because you couldn't run anymore, you were still on your own property?

The roads also take me back to my reailty...

I visited friends in Lismore recently. I noted the hills and valleys look so green and open, but if you were to start walking to them your dreams of going on a Hobbit style adventure would be short lived.
