How did this post turn into a dumb discussion about NSFW and Graham Platner, it's beyond me, I was old enough to remember, and for the youngsters who may think it's AI, this is not even the half of it, this was on TV news and in all the major newspapers around the world

When it's US atrocities

we should focus on present
let bygones be bygones
it was normal during that time period
it's progressive compared to present day
it's russian/china propaganda
they want to divide us
russia made us do it
bad people only exist in USA?
I wasn't involved in that period,why should it matter to me?
okay it was bad but look at all the good it has done for our country

But when talking about its enemies

bring up the same atrocities from decades and decades ago, over and over again to brigade the arguments.

This is basic US conditioning.
