There must have been something sleazy about him though even then, that people knew about. I remember watching Jim'l Fix it as a kid and my mum turning it off, saying she didn't like him but wouldn't explain why, other than "I just don't like him".
That's interesting, I hear these stories about how everyone knew, but @TheHermitBee@feddit.uk said he was well loved
