I don't like the man, he seriously sucks, but he needs an official wellness check. He's clearly becoming increasingly mentally disabled and things like this keep happening in his daughter's custody.

That's not a spiritual attack, it's mold induced pneumonia in a man with brain damage. He could easily be less capable of resisting the mold. Why the fuck was a man with brain damage trying to clean a moldy room without assistance‽

Like, seriously for all I hate the man I really get no joy from this, I don't want him taken away as punishment or anything, I'm mostly concerned for him. I don't think that the Peterson of a decade ago would be putting the Peterson of today in these positions.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 52 points 1 month ago (2 children)

My empathy is with the mold in this conflict.

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 23 points 1 month ago (2 children)

How would you define mold? How would you define conflict? How would you define is? That's what I thought.

[–] Rcklsabndn@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

Some of my best friends are mold.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

Hey, nice seeing you on here, JP!

Just keep on keepin' on. I'm surprised you haven't also got Morgellons and fibromyalgia. And get one of those mold testing kits from Home Depot and ask a responsible adult to swab a few samples and mail it back. At least that might narrow things down a bit.

Also, consider the possibility that your daughter's a whackjob.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

Yeah, I mean seriously. What did the mold do to deserve being exposed to this asshole?

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 34 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He absolutely would if he thought he belonged to one of the out-groups to be persecuted. This fucker has shown no empathy towards others and has played a big part in the rise of fascism we're seeing today. He deserves no pity.

[–] upsidedown@lemmy.world -5 points 1 month ago (6 children)

Everyone deserves some pity. If you don't think so then you really aren't a good person either.

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 month ago

everyone deserves some pity at some point, yes

Peterson has used his up, and he no longer deserves any

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I think he should be treated the way he treated others. Seems fair to me.

[–] F_State@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

This is why I was glad that Kirk was the victim of the political violence he championed rather than some innocent bystander.

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

When has he ever shown a single bit of empathy or remorse?

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

When it impacts him personally. Like every conservative.

[–] F_State@midwest.social 1 points 1 month ago

It's the exception that proves the rule so there are a couple people who should remain without pity but Peterson isn't the one in my book.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

Some people deserve nothing but justice. Also, pity is patronising. If that makes you think I'm not a good person, you can add your name to the long list of people who can bite my crank. Some people are incurable wrong 'uns. It's a shame the world is this way, but that's how it is.

I don't know much about Peterson's current state, so I won't say if he's one of the write-offs.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 26 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I want him to die.

Fuck sympathy for these scum.

The world would be better off without him in it. Let him rot to death in mold and elder abuse, he deserves worse.

I’ll save my tears for the victims of his.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 26 points 1 month ago

Nah, fuck that fash, he's welcome to follow his leader any time.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

hes responsible for bringing men under gop/conservative influences, i saw an article on posted on reddit that he was paid handosomely by russia to spew his propaganda.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Propagandists are among the worst of the worst.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

[–] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 month ago

Pretty much any police or corrections officer from Florida.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

By a platoon of mall security we gave assault rifles to?

[–] F_State@midwest.social 1 points 1 month ago

Man, they're totally ready for Dawn of the Dead

Im not concerned for him and I hope he fucks off and dies. The world would be better without him

[–] Rothe@piefed.social 9 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

I think it is quite entertaining. The part I get no joy from is how his fascist followers still clings to every word he says despite himn being clearly completely unhinged.

Hopefully this kills him. The world will be a better place for it.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Listening to entirely deranged people is normal for them.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago

Sounds familiar...

[–] volvoxvsmarla@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Damn the replies to your comment are wild.

I agree with everything you say. I hate this man but I am not as petty as to think this is funny or that he should die.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Don’t fall for the paradox of intolerance. This guy regularly calls for the torture and killing of innocent people.

[–] volvoxvsmarla@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 month ago

Not wishing him dead isn't the same as tolerating him and his beliefs

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 1 points 1 month ago

I've become exactly that petty. There's too much unpunished grift in this world.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Wasn't he constantly barred out on benzos a decade ago?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah then he went to Russia to be put in a coma to get clean. He went to Russia because Canadian and American physicians refused. Since he woke up he's developed a reputation for crying in a lot of his public appearances including in situations where most people would be embarrassed to get that worked up. Like I think literary analysis is cool too and I can get emotional about it, but as a 30 year old woman I absolutely would not publish a take of a video in which I'm crying about the loyalty of the lancer to the hero and how it can serve to remind us of the value of friendship. Like the fact that that keeps happening to him indicates that he has a level of impairment to his emotional regulation.

And I'll admit he was always an emotional guy. And it's great that he was so willing to be vulnerable (though I suspect he'd be very unhappy with that description of himself), it's just that while "boys don't cry" is toxic masculinity, "there's a time and a place for crying" is a cultural expectation.

That’s not a spiritual attack, it’s mold induced pneumonia in a man with brain damage. He could easily be less capable of resisting the mold. Why the fuck was a man with brain damage trying to clean a moldy room without assistance‽

The number of old white men with brain infections influencing government is too damn high.

[–] LustyArgonianMana@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's genuinely possibly an experiment or poisoning by Russia. He was in Russia for a month or so in a coma to get off benzos. It could also be his sunstance use flaring up. I do not really believe the mold story from the daughter (who is very creepy).

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hanlon's razor here: he went looking for any doctors who would do the procedure he wanted and couldn't get it in north America or any of Europe west of Russia. That indicates that it's stupidly dangerous without any foul play

[–] LustyArgonianMana@lemmy.world -1 points 1 month ago

Do you really believe that? That he couldn't find ANY doctors to do it except Russia? Or is that just a convenient excuse to go to Russia?

Further, medical malpractice IS foul play.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I remember hearing of him about a decade ago and the few times I heard him he was coherent and made some reasonable arguments

Since over 5 years ago he went off a cliff

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 month ago

Those weren't reasonable arguments, he's a con man. He mixes in truth with the cons.
