i dreamt i was a member of some extended family picnic gathering on a very green lawn with a few wooden tables and benches on it in tropical summer late morning weather. some adults were setting up the food. a woman was telling a group of five children of different ages not to go into the forest. there was a line of naturally growing random bushes leading to a thick dark forest like 15m behind them. then i saw a another little girl, maybe 10 years old in a white sundress with floral patterns, walk right towards the forest. she was laughing. i called "Marianne! Marianne!" everyone was turning towards her. she glimpsed back laughing for a second, but then ran into the forest while everyone was shouting "Marianne! Stop! Don't go into the forest! Marianne!" and i ran to stop her, but she was already close to the bushes and stepped into a gap between two bushes and instantly disappeared into the shadows beyond them. i couldn't see her any more. confused and creeped out i slowed to a walk in front of the bushes and shouted her name again. then, suddenly i heard her voice crying to my right and turned. she was suddenly like 14 years old standing outside the forest with 2 other kids that age. she had a mild abrasion on her left cheek and said "i fell down the stairs". i was reliefed and horrified at the same time and had so many questions but the adrenaline had already woken me up.
