The place for all things in the Monster Taming Genre. Supporting developers, artists, content creators and Players alike.

This community is for all things related to monster taming games, especially non-Pokemon games. While we love Pokemon games, the focus on this subreddit is non-Pokemon games, and we put even more focus on indie monster taming games.

Monster Taming games are games where you "tame," catch," befriend," etc. monsters. The genre has exploded in new games in just the past years!

Rules and community guidelines are a work in progress and will be made available as soon as possible. Any help is appreciated! Feel free to contact the community administrator if you have any questions, issues or feedback.

Welllllll....

There are somewhat PG-13 "porn" games where the porn is just text without visuals. I wouldn't consider a book to be "adults only" but then maybe I'm weird.

Hi there :)

Just a quick notice: while I have absolutely nothing agains AO games and content (and comments related to those subjects), I think we would all benefit if this space was a safe place for non-adult people as well.

But don't worry, your comment is fine and won't be removed or anything like that. But it made me realize that's something I need to take into account and figure out when building this space.

I'm still figuring out how this works here on Lemmy. Maybe there's a way we could tag our comments as 18+, so only people with the proper setting would see it? If someone there already knows how all this works, would I appreciate any help or guidance on that front

Once that framework is ready, I'll update the community about section.
