The first book in the series is quite different from the next two, so would be interested in seeing how you like it.

So I did finish the series, and I was, overall, impressed. The second book started slow, too much politics for my taste. The third one I think it was the best of all three. Maybe not the best ever individual books, but probably the best series I have ever read.

So, obviously, as a new Sanderson fan, I started Way of Kings :)
