This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.

Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)

This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.

4. Only post about stuff related to perchance.

5. Refrain from requesting Prompts for the AI Tools.

  • We would like to ask to refrain from posting here needing help specifically with prompting/achieving certain results with the AI plugins (text-to-image-plugin and ai-text-plugin) e.g. "What is the good prompt for X?", "How to achieve X with Y generator?"
  • See Perchance AI FAQ for FAQ about the AI tools.
  • You can ask for help with prompting at the 'sister' community Casual Perchance, which is for more casual discussions.
  • We will still be helping/answering questions about the plugins as long as it is related to building generators with them.

Trying to understand private gallery feature (lemmy.world)

Hi guys,

If I may ask a few (maybe a bit complicated or specific) questions?

  1. I think I'm having a bug where, when I click on private gallery button, the browser window freezes in that I can't scroll up or down anymore. Is that just me? (I'm on Brave browser, laptop)

  2. How does private gallery work exactly? When I generate an image. is there a diff. b/w clicking on the icon underneath that says: "save to local browser storage" and click the heart icon bottom left?

2.a) if I click on the heart icon, I see a menu and the option "send to gallery" next to it says "public". How does this work exactly? I don't want it public.

  1. Do I have to create an account on perchance to even have a personal persistent gallery (at least persistent for the session? don't want it to persist after I sign out or exit browser).

  2. I can't create an account. I keep getting a "too many requests" error and says maybe because I'm using VPN. It will only work without VPN?
