Banning churches is a big step to becoming a very good country.
The moscow patriarchate is not a church. It's an extension of the russian state.
Why would you not ban an institution that is opposed to the independence of your country and believes your country should be ruled by Moscow?

banning religions never goes well. ask the Ukrainians who survived the Soviet gulags and purges
the genocide victims of the USSR very much did not rule the world. when your edgy atheist persona takes over the critical thinking part of your brain maybe that's a sign to stop doing that
