I'm referencing the Republic in general, the droids are slaves. Clearly sentient yet physically and emotionally abused by Republicans and Jedi alike, kept in bondage and forced to work their entire life.

Child soldiers are the clones, literal fucking babies bred to die on a battlefield. Their entire childhood stolen from them and brainwashed into being unquestioning killing machines.

But the Jedi themselves are often child soldiers as well, stolen away from their families at a young age to be trained to protect the state as part of a paramilitary religious police.
