Was it a Touhou game?
Found the title. Gonna butcher the spelling, but jigoku kisetsusan sense of the seasons. It was a fan game, as I faintly remembered.
Looked at it's entry on tvtropes and it looks like the game is partly inspired by Touhou.

I’m not sure if that was the company, but it was certainly in that style. iirc, it was a fan game, but don’t quote me. I saw some video on black midis and wanted to try a game that incorporated similar music,
