per the episode with the Hash-Slinging Slasher, when Squid gets spooked his hair grows out and it's a dark brown/black color. obvs the show is pretty inconsistent with its "lore" so it's ultimately whatever, but I think Squids hair in this pic is a wig or was dyed

Not a wig, it fell out. Could be dyed, which must have made a huge mess since he lives underwater.
the wig coulda just fallen apart, no? just because it poofs away doesn't mean it was his real hair. besides, hair doesn't just do that, but a wig might imo
