Executive orders hold as long as they aren’t overturned by one of the other 2 branches of govt. Congress can pass a law that’s contrary an EO and the prez can’t do shit (assuming the Senate has a veto-proof majority, 67 votes). The courts can also stay or overturn EOs if they’re found to be unconstitutional or in violation of laws. The next Prez can completely upend any standing EOs.

Kk, well with that info, yes I would have to agree. This feels like a very empty gesture.
