That’s an obscenely wealthy person’s cane. The poor can’t get that.
I saw several of his hotels. That's the guy who changed the face of Vegas. All those mob movies where they moan about how the world changed? That's the guy.
Weight at base and wide base
It’s leaning against him and the table
The more I look at it I think it's attached to the chair to help him stand. Note that it's the only chair visible. He had suffered from peripheral neuropathy for years and had very restricted mobility and probably couldn't stand for long periods by then.
