And there were so many unresolved plotlines that the sudden cancellation meant that Mythic Quest would always feel incomplete.

Well aside - fuck shows that do this. Unless the next season is guaranteed, act like this is the last one, because it probably is. Especially on streaming. If the whole season drops at once, you can't be warned halfway through making episode 6 that there's not gonna be an episode 12. People can be interested in more, even invested in it, without leaving them unsatisfied.

This revisionism is a memory-hole band-aid over that kind of writing.
