I love playing Modded Minecraft, but the movie was pretty awful. The writing was garbage and acting pretty bad. The set designs and creatures were done fairly well though. Kids will enjoy the movie, but adults will certainly notice the movie's short-comings.
This morning my COMM professor declared she saw it with her kids and it was a masterpiece, despite not having played Minecraft and "not caring that much for Jack Black"
