I just spent three leisurely hours in the kitchen making a Sunday roast: roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower & gravy. I quite like relaxed cooking with Planet Rock on the background.

I found myself wondering if people still do this. Did you make a roasttoday, and if you did, what did you cook?

It's only me now, so it never seems worth the effort. I pretty much only have a roast dinner at Christmas. That said, my folks didn't do a Sunday roast often, so perhaps I just never got it in my blood as a tradition.

I went with a roast sweet potato with tuna and sweetcorn mayo (with a grated carrot and some seeds scattered in).
