His premise is also false. At least half of homeless people in the US are employed.

It’s not a drug user problem. It’s an affordable housing problem.

The reason why only a minority of the homeless are drug addicts is a practical one---Drugs Are Really Expensive. Housed people are more likely to do drugs because they can afford to.
