On one hand - show business is yucky and I wish all that money didn't just disappear into tax heavens. On the other hand - artists deserve their royalties, even if they're in government positions. I guess I don't agree with the means, but agree (to a tiny extent) with the ends.

Btw the security service changed heads since then, idk how much better the new one is, but he's infinitely funnier.

Also the next step in accountability would be crowdfunded public servants lol, still a popularity contest but if you're really unpopular - you don't get shit. I wanna see someone try it in my lifetime.

Sure. But this is more about Zelenskyy, and his friends's level of corruption. I mean, shell companies, or in this case, offshore companies is literally the standard issue method of money laundering or tax evasion. There is a reason why reporters investigating the Panama Papers have been murdered.

I mean, after all, if you are not aware, he literally ran on a platform to go after oligarchs, while he himself was funded by Ukraine's largest oligarch. I mean, I would agree that is funny. Although I am, not sure if a lot of people in the USA knew that.

I know what you meant, just saying that part of his income from this is an indirect result of his shows. That's why I wished it didn't go there - it works like royalties, but isn't, it's a dishonest income stream because of (lack of) taxation and how it's reported and shit. (edit: that's ON TOP of his actual royalties, I'm sure he negotiated those too). Not to mention other members of this scheme.

I would be surprised if people in the States even knew the name of his bloc, or any other bloc for that matter. And why would they, it's not really their forte.
