I’m a user on this instance and also mod of a community on this instance about atheistic/nonthesitic Satanism. We are not CoS, nor TST, we are called Global Order of Satan (link is in my profile). Many of our members across the world are lgbtqia+ , possibly even a majority but we don’t really keep formalised records so its hard to say for sure.
Our UK Order (of whom I am a member) are looking into starting a campaign into the religion based abuse of conversion therapy. Obviously we knew it happened but we weren’t aware things like exorcism were used and this clearly falls within our, uh, areas of interest!
This is a delicate subject and I have no wish to trigger anyone but if anyone wanted to share (anonymised) experiences they may have had with religion-based conversion ‘therapy’ (I keep using scarequotes as its clearly pseudoscience) via DM with me, they would be very helpful in giving us some background. We also suggest using cryptpad (flagship instance is https://cryptpad.fr/). To make a form which people can fill out. Cryptpad has zero knowledge encryption meaning those who own/run the server cannot see the data. It would probably be a better solution than asking people to reach out personally.
A note, when sharing any document make sure you use the share button and not the URL as the URL is admin access, plus the share button allows you to control access further. Also, we suggest signing up (at least for the form maker) as otherwise all the information will be gone after a few days.
A personal note: We love it because it requires no email address etc to sign up, just a username.

Thank you. Don't think you have managed to share the URL to the form though as cryptpad says it's an invalid link.

Edit 2: Seems Lemmy does not like pluses in URLs so readers will have to edit the %20s to + manually

Are you sure? We still see the %20s in the link instead of pluses.
When copied it still leads to an invalid URL on our end.
Edit: it seems lemmy really does not want to put the pluses in no matter what we do, so users will just have to convert the %20 to +, sadly.
Yeah I know, its not great, but Lemmy just kills the link if I put them in. I copy/pasted it as it is now and it seemed OK.
Ah, perhaps it is just the browser we are using then. However, if any users have problems with it then it's worth noting that any %20 should be a +.
