Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Fair enough. I do have a 1928 penny that is barely even tarnished and looks like it just recently came off the mint press.
Guess I'll see you in a few years...
There might be a more general coin collector community somewhere on the Fediverse?
