It’s so easy to blame “controversy” for the failure of a movie people just aren’t interested in seeing. This is all too common a tactic of movies and games these days.

I agree that this was a movie that really just did not need to be made. However, I think casting a character whose main trait is that she is white as snow with a character who is not super white is akin to casting a white person or a black person to play Mulan.

Not that I would be interested in the movie one way or another. I just see how it was an intentionally controversial choice.
