Canon R10, ƒ/7.1, 1/4000, ISO 640. This is the widest field of view my 100-400mm lens can capture.

I like the photo, but I am somewhat curious how you wound up with those exposure settings. Could you not have backed the shutter speed off a bit to get ISO down? Not that it's particularly high, but it seems like you could have probably captured this at your camera's native ISO.

I had the ISO locked to about as high as I wanted to go given that I was also shooting plenty of things in the shade that day. And I was lazy. Noticeable graininess does not set in on my camera until above about 1250, in my opinion.

Agree that using a non-native ISO these days isn't really a big deal, I was just curious what led to the exposure. Thanks for the reply!
